Abstract: Higher Education has an important role in the task of rebuilding a nation and it paves the way for overall development of a nation. The twentieth century has witnessed several revolutions like Green revolution, White revolution, I.T revolution, so on and so forth, taking human civilization to new heights. At the start of 21 st century, we gave a lot of importance given to higher education. Every country realized the value of higher education and the benefits that accrue from it. “The social demands for higher education continue to increase. The inabilities of the state to support this growing demand result in new financing arrangements for higher education. The recent reforms in this area could be broadly divided into two categories: the privatization of public institutions and the establishment of private institutions of higher education. Privatization implies the application of market principles in the operation of public institutions, while ownership rests within the public domain. Promotion of the private sector implies the growth and expansion of the non-state sector in higher education, and very often this sector does not rely on state funding forits growth and expansion. Both of these measures have paved the way for market operations in higher education

Abstract: The rights which are entitled to human beings, are crucial for their existence and are formulated with the intention of safeguarding their life, personal liberty and dignity are referred to as human rights. The traditional notion of human rights and security perceived them as antithetical and separate concepts whereas the current idea propagates the interlinkage between the two and highlights the need to preserve human rights in order to enforce security. Neoliberalism seeks to reduce the role of the state including to diminish its social and welfare responsibilities which affects the protection and implementation of human rights. Thus, a pertinent question is raised: What aspects of neoliberalism are abusive of human rights in the contemporary international structure? This paper takes up the case study of the Israel-Palestine conflict, which dates back to the nineteenth century and analyses it from the perspective of human rights conservation. Israel refuses to give the status of ‘rightful sovereigns’ to the Palestinians residing in the West Bank and Gaza and therefore, believes that they are not entitled to any protection bestowed by the international humanitarian laws. This research further takes into account the aspect of human rights in the U.S. policies concerning Israel. The U.S. has been projecting itself as the torchbearer of liberalism and individual rights in the contemporary neoliberal world order. Yet, it provides military and economic support to Israel and virtually remains silent in its wrongful claims over Palestinian territories. The contemporary world order has seen different countries adopting rightist policies, excluding regional identities and promoting the concept of a homogenized society. The abuse of human rights which these circumstances bring about become equally pertinent as the newest threat to individual security and consequently affects the international socio-political domain.

Abstract: This paper attempts to explore the level of satisfaction of the Students of the Dhaka University, Bangladesh regarding the transportation Services provided to them by the university authority. The Study also provides detailed accounts of the transport patterns and transportation services, problems and issues faced by students who commute regularly in university buses. A cross-sectional survey has been conducted to investigates relevant issues of Transportation Services, its barriers and User preferences and explores the main transport challenges faced by the students. Results have been obtained following a survey designed in mix approach of research. A total of 340 respondents were collected following a quota sampling using well designed questionnaire where an equal male-female ratio of the respondents was strictly maintained. Study found that users scored the ‘comfort’ as the lowest (40%) feature of the university transportation services. Students shared their sufferings as well as positive impacts of University Transportation services in this Study. The saddest part of the findings of this study is that there is no specific provision for the students with special needs in the university transports. Having no ‘Transportation Policy’ might cause this sort of lacking among all others. So, it can be expected that the university authority will take necessary actions to have a sound transportation policy in near future. At the end, some recommendations have been put here to get these reflected in the policy to make it a sustainable and inclusive one.

Abstract: Materials and manufactured products process which fluctuate the balance of their production and rate of destruction are usually led to retrogression in the environment. Plastic products are considered one such material which gives rise to a big threat towards environment. A huge-huge amount of plastic in many forms is produced and dropped into the environment and naturally the homeostatic process of environment is itself unable to degrade the material produced with that’s why plastic recycling is an important issue in present scenario of the society. Un-organized recycling and non-biodegradability of plastic products produce the degree of devastation to the environment and the consequences of devastation are directly proportional to the health and life expectancy of mankind. This paper tries to deal with the investigation about the challenges of plastic waste as well as plastic bags that turns into a threat to the environment. Mostly, plastic waste is considered recyclable, but with the passing of time it is noticed that recycled products are proved more harmful to the environment so it is crystal clear that recycling is not more sheltered and permanent solution for the plastic waste disposal.
