Abstract: Amar Ekushey Book Fair is the national book fair of Bangladesh. The book fair is held annually in February at the Bangla Academy premises and Suhrawardy Udyan. This book fair is one of the largest book fairs in the world in terms of the number of readers and the duration of the fair. The Amar Ekushey Book Fair is closely associated with the movement and spirit of the Bengali language, which gives this book fair a unique dimension and sets it apart from other book fairs organised in various countries around the world. Book advertising is one of the most effective ways to promote a book. At the Amar Ekushey Book Fair, book advertisements have been circulated for a long time to disseminate information to readers. Over time, the form of ads and various additions have become modern. During the book fair, most creative publications in Bangladesh focus on the Amar Ekushey Book Fair and advertise the books on display. This study examines the overall picture of communication with readers through book advertisements and advertisements for the 2023 Amar Ekushey Book Fair, conducted through surveys and interviews. A total of 100 respondents were collected, with an equal male-female ratio, and 50 publications were also collected. The study found that 66 percent of publishers advertise books at book fairs. The most unprecedented result of this research is that many publications now do not promote books. It is expected that, shortly, most publications participating in the Amar Ekushey Book Fair will present information about the books to readers through book advertisements. Finally, the paper includes recommendations for publishers to effectively advertise their books and select media based on their readership preferences.
