Abstract: The National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 will introduce flexibility to the curriculum through a multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary approach, a new assessment process, resource empowerment, multiple exit options, and encouragement of internationalisation. Adopting an open curriculum with transdisciplinary course patterns, including flexibility in electives, has led to progress in skill development, holistic development, community engagement, technological integration, environmental education, and valuebased education. Ranking and accreditation will have a significant impact on the quality of education and research. It is necessary to develop an education policy that yields better results in creativity, critical thinking development, decision-making skills, and problem-solving abilities. The new reforms aim to enhance the quality and effectiveness of future-ready higher education institutions in India. In this paper, an attempt has been made to present various reforms in the Indian higher education system, its regulatory structure, and teaching pedagogy.

Abstract: This study explores how Gen Z Indians navigate questions of identity, community, and culture on the global social media platform Reddit. Drawing on in-depth interviews with 15 Indian Redditors aged 18-25, we analyse their experiences through a theoretical framework that combines key concepts from digital anthropology, postcolonial studies, and science and technology studies. Our findings reveal Reddit as a complex site of cultural negotiation where Indian youth construct hybrid identities, imagine communities beyond geographical boundaries, and grapple with the platform’s affordances and limitations. However, we also highlight how these processes of meaningmaking and community formation are profoundly shaped by the enduring power asymmetries of coloniality and the digital divide in India. The dominance of English on the platform, the marginalisation of Indian vernaculars and cultural referents, and the underrepresentation of lower-caste and working-class voices all indicate that Reddit’s promise of inclusivity and democratisation remains unfulfilled for many Indian users. To make sense of these tensions and contradictions, we develop an analytical approach that foregrounds the cultural frameworks and meaning-making practices of Indian Redditors, while also situating their experiences within larger structures of postcolonial power and inequality. This decolonial and pluriversal approach, we argue, is crucial for moving beyond one-size-fits-all models of digital sociality and attending to the irreducible diversity and specificity of Indian digital cultures. At the same time, we reflexively interrogate our positionality as researchers and the limits of our inquiry, acknowledging the paradoxes of doing decolonial scholarship within a still largely Western-centric academic ecosystem. We thus offer our findings not as definitive conclusions but as an invitation to further conversation and critique, opening up new avenues for research and praxis at the intersections of Indian cultural politics, digital media, and decolonial theory. Ultimately, this study makes a compelling case for the urgent need to decolonise our approaches to global social media platforms, such as Reddit, and to centre the lived experiences, cultural knowledges, and political aspirations of digital subjects at the margins. In doing so, we aim to contribute to a more expansive and pluriversal understanding of digital sociality – one that accommodates multiple ways of being and knowing online.

Abstract: The gender gap that still exists in Indian society has touched various spheres of life, such as education, employment opportunities, income, health, economic issues, social and cultural issues, etc. Discrimination towards women starts even before her birth in the form of female foeticide, and after her birth, in the form of female infanticide has been in practice. Gender inequality restricts women’s access to opportunities and resources. In this paper, we aim to highlight the causes and consequences of gender inequality in India and propose measures to mitigate this inequality.

Abstract: The individuals from the stage of early childhood, throughout their lives, need to acquire an efficient understanding of the meaning and significance of self-esteem. Furthermore, they need to augment information on all the necessary factors to carry out this task. Individuals are required to increase their knowledge in various areas that facilitate the achievement of this goal. The different types of factors are job duties, responsibilities, methodologies, procedures, techniques, approaches, efficiency, morality, ethics, diligence and conscientiousness. Furthermore, individuals are required to ensure that they are not overwhelmed by any type of stressful situation. In such cases, one needs to cope with them effectively. Furthermore, these are prevented from hindering the implementation of various tasks and activities. One of the crucial aspects that needs to be taken into account is that these should not have unfavourable effects on the overall living conditions of individuals. In addition, throughout the lives of individuals, they need to augment information in terms of various factors that facilitate the enhancement of overall personality traits. As a consequence, individuals from all occupations and communities will make an essential contribution to enhancing self-esteem. Therefore, it can be stated that improved self-esteem is vital in promoting the enhancement of living conditions. The main concepts considered in this research paper are understanding the meaning and significance of self-esteem, measures to be implemented for improving self-esteem, and the advantages of enhancing self-esteem.

Abstract: The individuals, belonging to all occupations, communities, categories and socio-economic backgrounds, have one of the primary goals of individuals of promoting enrichment of living conditions. To achieve this goal, they must augment information with various subjects and concepts. Furthermore, they are required to reinforce the traits of morality, ethics, diligence and conscientiousness. Additionally, individuals need to understand that some job duties are carried out individually, while others are implemented through collaboration with others. One of the crucial aspects that needs to be taken into account is that individuals should not be disheartened due to problems and challenging situations. One needs to ensure they are aware of the different job duties and methodologies. In addition, they need to boost their confidence levels and overcome feelings of apprehension and vulnerability. Furthermore, all types of problems and challenging situations must be prevented from arising to impede the implementation of various tasks and activities. Therefore, it is understood on a comprehensive basis that promoting the enrichment of living conditions is an indispensable goal of all individuals. The primary concepts examined in this research paper are the understanding of the meaning and significance of promoting enriched living conditions, the measures to be implemented for this purpose, and the advantages of fostering such conditions.

Abstract: Family planning is one of the most critical aspects of family health and welfare. Men’s engagement in family planning is a vital component in promoting women’s empowerment. In this study, we conducted a systematic review following the PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses) guidelines to explore the multifaceted dynamics shaping the relationship between men’s involvement in familial planning initiatives and women’s empowerment. A systematic search was conducted in the Scopus database, employing carefully selected keywords such as “women* empowerment”, “female empowerment,” “empowerment of women”, “male”, “men*”, “family planning”, “contraceptive practices”, “birth control”, “reproductive health,” “pregnancy prevention”, and “planned parenthood” on January 30, 2024. The study provides a comprehensive insight into men’s involvement in family planning globally and in India, revealing a need for significant social change to address bias favouring men in resource allocation. The findings highlight the effectiveness of modular survey approaches, particularly in capturing indicators related to antenatal care and the use of contraceptive methods. Globally, successful interventions, such as mass media campaigns and participation in maternal and child health programs, have been identified, emphasising the importance of tailored approaches to cultural contexts and the need for cross-cultural learning. Overall, the results underscore the multifaceted nature of men’s involvement in family planning and its pivotal role in promoting women’s empowerment.
