Abstract: In rural communities, individuals are overwhelmed by various types of social problems of poverty, illiteracy, unemployment, and gender inequality. These social problems create obstacles in the implementation of multiple tasks and activities. Hence, to facilitate the progression of rural individuals and communities, it is of utmost significance to generate awareness among rural individuals about strategies that will lead to progression. Individuals from rural communities are expected to be well-informed about job duties and responsibilities in both their personal and professional lives. Furthermore, they are required to generate awareness of methodologies and procedures that facilitate effective job performance and desired outcomes. As a consequence, they will render a significant contribution to doing well in one’s job duties and the achievement of desired goals. In this manner, one can contribute efficiently to improving one’s overall standards of living. Furthermore, one has to inculcate the traits of diligence, resourcefulness and conscientiousness. These are the keys to coping with different types of dilemmas and challenging situations. Therefore, it is well understood that generating awareness among rural individuals is essential in leading to their progression. The primary concepts examined in this research paper are the objectives of raising awareness among rural individuals, the areas in which awareness is to be generated, and the benefits of raising awareness in various locations.

Abstract: This paper goes into great depth about how complex India’s Aadhaar-based identification system is to understand, especially when it comes to how important it is for people to be able to access simple services. Most of the study focuses on Mundoti, a village in Kishangarh, Rajasthan, where the people’s farming and hard work-based lifestyles have made it challenging to use Aadhaar. The paper examines the prevalence of negative fingerprinting and its impact on individuals’ ability to utilise the Public Distribution System (PDS). It does this through a case study and direct and indirect research methods. Through conversations, it examines the connection between the requirement to wear fingerprints at work, demographics, and any potential effects on PDS. The study indicates that the people of Mundoti struggle with Fingerprint authentication due to their agricultural work. This means they are facing difficulties in obtaining essential food aid. The study indicates that these issues require attention. The people who live in Mundoti have trouble verifying their Aadhaar cards because their fingerprints are worn down from working hard in agriculture. The study also shows that age, gender, and occupation have a significant effect on the likelihood of experiencing identification problems. The paper argues that these fingerprintrelated issues should be addressed so that crucial social welfare programs can be implemented successfully in rural India. It suggests creating different ways to prove one’s identity, such as eye scans or private biometric-based solutions, so that vulnerable people aren’t kept from essential services like PDS as much as possible. This paper contributes to the broader conversation about local ecosystems that involves everyone. It emphasises the importance of adapting rules and procedures to meet the needs of people living in rural areas.

Abstract: This study employs a qualitative research methodology to study the gender disparities in disaster responses, focusing on the case study of Majuli Island in Assam, India, to provide nuanced insights into the distinct vulnerabilities experienced by women, particularly in the context of floods. Through an in-depth exploration of social norms, behavioural restrictions, and resource allocation practices, the research elucidates how women’s roles as caregivers and providers constrain their mobility and exacerbate their susceptibility to harm. The gendered ramifications of disasters on health, encompassing reproductive health issues and malnutrition, are underscored, alongside the psychological and physiological impacts that precipitate enduring mental anguish and heightened risks of violence and abuse. The findings underscore the imperative for gender-sensitive approaches to disaster preparedness, response, and recovery, advocating for comprehensive strategies that foreground women’s safety, wellbeing, and empowerment. By adopting a qualitative research methodology grounded in descriptive investigation, the study delves deeply into the lived experiences of communities facing disaster risks, offering invaluable insights for policymakers, practitioners, and communities seeking to foster inclusive and resilient societies.

Abstract: Livelihoods are diverse and made up of multiple activities depending on the available assets to earn a living. Aside from fishing as the only primary source of income for coastal dwellers, are there other means of livelihood that a coastal area can offer? This document aims to help us understand the complexity of coastal livelihoods and provide insight into alternative livelihood options within the coastal region. The result will be used to document and measure the socio-economic benefits and costs of different livelihoods. It will also set limits and policies that are truly adaptable in protecting our coastal resources. Purposive sampling was done with the assistance of the Department of Agriculture-Municipal Agriculture and Fishery Council (DA-MAFC), which identified the respondents. Descriptive statistics, frequency counts, percentages and means were used to analyse the data collected. Results show that variations in livelihood exist along coastal areas, including seaweed gathering, salt-making, stone and shell picking, and crafting. There are also alternative sources that complement these traditional coastal means of livelihood, such as boatmaking and boat rental, the production of fishing materials, the collection of firewood, and homestays. It is necessary to employ interventions which help to strengthen capacity building in coastal communities. Training to improve their craft and packing skills should also be applied.

Abstract: The individuals in old age move to old age homes due to different factors. In old age homes, there are provisions of infrastructure, amenities, and facilities that facilitate carrying out all types of tasks and activities in a well-ordered manner. The individuals employed are required to be well-equipped in terms of various job duties and responsibilities. Furthermore, they need to augment their information in terms of methodologies and approaches, which facilitate the generation of desired outcomes. The primary objective of all staff members living in nursing homes is to promote the well-being and goodwill of senior citizens. Senior citizens are often overwhelmed by various health problems and illnesses. In some cases, they are not ambulatory; hence, it is of utmost significance to provide medical and healthcare facilities. Medical practitioners and healthcare specialists are required to be well-versed in methods and approaches that facilitate effective job performance and generate desired outcomes. By performing job duties efficiently, individuals can contribute to the advancement of nursing homes. Therefore, nursing homes facilitate the promotion of well-being and goodwill among senior citizens. The main concepts considered in this research paper are estimating the supply of nursing homes, measures to be implemented for promoting the enrichment of nursing homes in India, and the causes that enable senior citizens to live in nursing homes.

Abstract: This paper shows that the process of jury trials is not needed in a modern society, as the trial by a judge is more than enough to meet the tenets of the justice system of a fair, just, balanced, unbiased and impartial trial. We need to altogether abolish the giant elephant in the room from the medieval ages and make the judicial process more efficient, better, and quicker by introducing trial by a single judge as a norm.
